Delta Society accredited dog trainers use best practice and scientifically proven reward based techniques to help Australians enjoy fulfilled and enriched lives with their dogs.
The Certificate IV Course is conducted as follows and you will be required to complete all of these components:

Weekend Seminar
Every year Delta offers 2 day weekend seminars in capital cities by leading veterinary behaviourist Dr. Gaille Perry and renowned animal trainer Kerrie Haynes-Lovell.
These weekends will provide you with the latest information on dog behaviour and training and are suitable for all levels of experience. Attendees will receive a Statement of Attendance.

First Block of assignments
Those who have attended these seminars can continue to further study with Delta. They will have the opportunity to participate in an exciting mixture of reading, on-line discussions, videoconferencing and research culminating in the submission of a series of written and practical assignments which extend their knowledge further.

6 day Workshop
This study will gain students entry into an exciting 6 day workshop in Sydney where they will participate in lectures and practical training supervised by a group of talented Delta instructors. We also work with shelter animals - a very mutually beneficial exercise. Students will also have the opportunity to hone their training skills in more advanced exercises supervised by Kerrie.

All of the above program can be completed by anyone interested in dogs, their behaviour and training. Those who wish to complete the Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services can now complete their study in a series of assignments (written and video) which assess their ability to conduct dog training classes and private training.
